 Description:
This course offers nursing-specific content regarding Mechanical ventilation. An understanding of the respiratory system and common respiratory diseases that require mechanical ventilation. In this course you will learn concepts of providing nursing care to patients while requiring respiratory support for adults with an artificial airway. This course provides an understanding of how respirations are provided using a ventilator to adults experiencing illness preventing them from breathing independently. This course provides an overview of indications for mechanical ventilation. Included in this course you will gain knowledge of potential complications and nursing interventions for those receiving mechanical ventilation. This course provides additional foundational knowledge of nursing care of titratable (IV) intravenous infusion medication drips used in specialty areas for adult clients on mechanical ventilatory support.
